AFFF, which stands for aqueous film forming foam, is a potent fire suppressant utilized by firefighters to extinguish fires caused by flammable liquids pooling together. The mechanism of action involves the formation of a barrier between the fire and the oxygen it needs to sustain combustion. AFFF Firefighting Foam has been extensively used by airport and military firefighters to put out fires fueled by jet fuel and petroleum since the 1960s.

Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) are artificial chemical compounds present in AFFF, commonly used by firefighters to extinguish flammable liquid fires. These chemicals are part of a group of substances called Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS), known as “forever chemicals” due to their inability to break down in the environment and human body. Recent scientific studies have revealed that PFAS in firefighting foam can potentially cause cancer in humans, making it a likely human carcinogen associated with various types of cancers.

I was stuck! My wife’s cancer was discovered due to J&J Talcum but was denied coverage by the company. My appeal was denied. After that, Team of The Justice Now was involved. They fought with me. My lawyer was hard-working, thorough and determined and won my case. I’m not sure where I’d be in the absence of The Justice Now.
